Tarquin

Character from acotar-silver-flames by

High Lord of the Summer Court, young and idealistic, Tarquin rules the sun-warmed ports and pearl-divers of Adriata with a hope for unity that the older courts have long since buried.

As the youngest High Lord of the Seasonal Courts, Tarquin inherited a throne still bleeding from the wounds of the war with Hybern and the betrayals of the Night Court. He rules with an open hand and a hopeful heart, believing that the old grudges can be set aside—even as those around him sharpen their knives. Idealistic but not naive, he has learned that kindness in Prythian is often mistaken for weakness, and he will defend his people with the full fury of the sea when provoked.

Appearance

Tarquin is young for a High Lord, with hair the color of sea-foam and skin burnished gold from a lifetime beneath the Summer sun. His eyes are the blue of deep water, clear and quick to warmth, and he carries himself with the easy grace of one who has never had to learn cruelty to hold power.

Also known as: Tarquin, High Lord of Summer, Lord of the Summer Court, the young High Lord, the sea lord
