Beron
Character from acotar-silver-flames by
High Lord of the Autumn Court, a scheming and ruthless ruler who has held his throne for centuries through fear, fire, and an unyielding grip on every secret in his territory.
Beron is a master of political manipulation and elemental fire, ruling Autumn with an iron fist and a network of spies that rivals the Night Court's shadows. He is patient, calculating, and utterly without mercy, viewing his sons as pawns and his court as a weapon to be sharpened against his rivals.
Appearance
Beron is tall and lean, with the burnished copper hair and amber eyes of his court, but his face is carved into a permanent sneer of cold disdain. He dresses in the deep reds and golds of autumn leaves, his hands always gloved, his posture rigid with the weight of a crown he will never relinquish.
Also known as: Beron, High Lord of Autumn, Lord of the Autumn Court, the Fire Lord, the Copper King
What They Know
- The Dread Trove is real and its power could unmake the courts, but he would rather see it in his hands than destroyed.
- The King of Hybern's agents have approached him more than once, and he has listened without committing—for now.
- His wife, the Lady of Autumn, was once in love with Helion of the Day Court, and the secret burns in him like a coal.
- The Night Court's true strength lies not in its High Lord but in the hidden city of Velaris, which he has never found but suspects exists.
- The Blood Rite on Ramiel is a farce of Illyrian savagery, but he has used it to cull weaklings from his own ranks by proxy.
- The Cauldron's power can be stolen, not just inherited, and he has spent centuries searching for a way to take what is not given.
- His youngest son, Eris, is too clever by half and may one day try to take the throne—Beron has already planned how to kill him if he does.
