The invisible, ancient barrier that splits Prythian from the mortal lands, a scar of magic and treaty that Hybern's king means to shatter.

What They Know
- The Wall was raised by the High Lords and the mortal queens after the War of a Thousand Days, using the Cauldron to bind the magic into the land itself.
- No fae can cross the Wall without a bargain, a talisman, or the express permission of a High Lord—and even then the crossing leaves a mark, a taint that lingers in the blood.
- The Wall has weak points—places where the magic has frayed over centuries, where smugglers and desperate mortals slip through, and where the King of Hybern's agents have been testing its strength.
- Iron and ash wood do not affect the Wall itself, but they are the only things that can be carried through it without being stripped of power by the barrier's magic.
- To touch the Wall is to feel the weight of every soul who died in the War that forged it—a cold, ancient grief that seeps into the skin and does not wash off.
- The King of Hybern believes the Cauldron can unmake the Wall entirely, and he has spent centuries gathering the power and the knowledge to do it.
