The invisible, ancient barrier that splits Prythian from the mortal lands, a scar of magic and treaty that Hybern's king means to shatter.
The Wall is not stone or wood or iron—it is a wound in the world, a weave of magic laid down five centuries ago when the Treaty ended the last great War. It stretches across the entire breadth of the island, from the western sea to the eastern, invisible and relentless, marking the line beyond which the fae cannot tread without permission or price. It is the reason mortals have survived, and the reason they live in fear.
To the eye it is nothing—empty air, a horizon line, a meadow that continues unbroken. But to the senses it is a pressure, a thrum in the bones, a faint shimmer like heat haze that makes the world beyond seem wavering and unreal. Those born fae feel it as a low hum at the edge of hearing; mortals feel it as a chill that creeps up the spine, a warning older than words.
