• The keys to the Prison are kept by the High Lord of Night, passed down through his bloodline.
• Some prisoners have been there so long that even the High Lords have forgotten what they are.
• The Prison is warded against winnowing and all forms of magical travel.
• It is said that the Prison was built by the first High Lords, using the Cauldron itself to seal the deepest cells.
