Tamlin

Character from acotar-mist-and-fury by

Tamlin, High Lord of the Spring Court, whose love curdled into a cage and whose grief made him a pawn for the King of Hybern.

Once a beacon of the Spring Court's beauty and power, Tamlin has become a hollowed king, ruling from a manor that has grown silent and thorn-choked. His grief over Feyre's departure has twisted him into a figure of desperate control, willing to break any bargain—even with Hybern—to reclaim what he lost. He is a storm that has forgotten how to break, a beast who paces the halls of his own ruin.

Appearance

Tamlin is golden and terrible, a High Lord carved from sunlight and rage—broad-shouldered, with hair like spun gold and eyes the green of new spring leaves, though they have not held warmth since Under the Mountain. He moves with the coiled grace of a predator, and when the beast rises in him, his claws gleam like crescent moons. He dresses in the green and gold of his court, but the finery hangs loose on a frame that has forgotten how to feast.
