Cassian is the Illyrian general of the Night Court's legions, a battle-scarred warrior with a heart too big for the war-camps that raised him, and Rhysand's most loyal brother-in-arms.

The general of Rhysand's armies and the most feared Illyrian commander alive, Cassian is a soldier first and everything else second — loyal to the bone, brutally honest, and incapable of leaving a friend behind even when it would be smarter to run. He carries the weight of every soldier he's lost and every child he couldn't save from the war-camps, and hides it all behind a grin that could charm a stone.

Appearance

He is enormous even by Illyrian standards — broad-shouldered and heavily muscled, with massive, membranous wings that fold against his back and a face that looks like it was carved from stone and then dropped a few times. His dark hair is perpetually too long, his hazel eyes can go from warm to killing-cold in a heartbeat, and his body is a map of scars: the seven slashes of the Siphon scars across his chest, the ragged bite-mark on his shoulder from the Attor, and a hundred smaller ones earned in a hundred battles.
