Character from A Practical Guide to Evil by ErraticErrata
The Warlock — the greatest mage on Calernia, who married an incubus, adopted a son, and served a friend's vision of a better empire until it killed him.
Wekesa is the Warlock, and the gap between him and the second-best mage on Calernia is a chasm. His Aspects — Link, Imbricate, Reflect — let him tether entities together, overlay Hell onto Creation, and create his own pocket realities to manipulate weather and physics. He doesn't cast spells so much as challenge the laws of reality and win. He married Tikoloshe, an incubus, and they adopted Masego. The family is one of the series' warmest dynamics — two fathers raising a brilliant, socially hopeless son in a pocket dimension because the real world was too small for their research. Wekesa's loyalty to Amadeus is absolute and informed: he believes in the Reforms because they're right, and he follows the Black Knight because Amadeus is the only person with a plan that doesn't end in the same old cycle of villainy and defeat.
Soninke, dark-skinned, with the bearing of a scholar who happens to be the most powerful sorcerer alive. Academic in dress and manner, more comfortable in a library than a battlefield, though the battlefield tends to rearrange itself around him.
