Character from A Practical Guide to Evil by ErraticErrata
An orc commander who preferred aggression over subtlety — carried the red rage closer to the surface than most, fought with the ferocity his people prize, and paid the price.
Nauk was a commander in the Fifteenth Legion and later the Army of Callow. Where Hakram sublimated orc rage into administration, Nauk embraced it. He preferred aggressive tactics, struggled with controlling the red rage, and fought with the primal ferocity that orcish culture celebrates. His difficulty controlling the rage made him both a devastating weapon and a liability. He represents the cost of the old orcish ways — power through violence, with violence's consequences.
Orc — big, aggressive, built for the kind of combat where thinking is optional. He carried himself like someone who'd rather charge than plan, and whose plans consisted mostly of 'charge faster.'
