Catherine's drow guide and sigil second — a rylleh who lost almost all its Night and found something more valuable: purpose under a queen who doesn't discard the diminished.
Ivah was a rylleh — a diminished drow, stripped of most of its Night. Catherine recruited it as her guide in the Empire Ever Dark, and Ivah became the second-in-command of her personal sigil. Its value isn't raw power but loyalty, local knowledge, and the political insight of someone who has seen drow society from both the top and the bottom.
Drow — pale, slight, with the bearing of someone who was once powerful and is rebuilding. After losing most of its Night, Ivah looks unremarkable by Mighty standards, which makes its position as Catherine's personal retinue leader all the more pointed.
