Goat Village

Location from A Hat In Time by Gears for Breakfast

The central hub of Alpine Skyline -- a cozy mountain settlement of red-roofed houses where goats roam, Nomads point the way, and ziplines launch you toward every peak.

Goat Village is the starting hub of Alpine Skyline, the place Hat Kid returns to between peaks and the only settlement in the chapter. It sits at the intersection of all four mountain paths, with ziplines and hookshot routes extending outward in every direction. The village is populated by the large, silent goats who communicate only through head gestures and the smaller Nomad guides who point Hat Kid toward each peak. A Goat Refinery sits beneath the Birdhouse path, offering a platforming challenge. The Badge Seller has one of their four Alpine Skyline locations here. During The Illness Has Spread, the goats in the village become sick and hostile, transforming the safe hub into a danger zone. This corruption of the one truly peaceful location in the chapter hits harder than most boss fights.

Appearance

A small plateau settlement with charming red-roofed houses and stone paths. Large, peaceful goats wander between buildings. Horn beacons mark the paths to each mountain peak. Ziplines extend from the village toward The Birdhouse, The Lava Cake, The Windmill, and The Twilight Bell. The Badge Seller sits on the same plateau. Mountain air, wildflowers, and sweeping cloud vistas create an atmosphere of serene altitude.
