The stout, cleaver-wielding leader of the Mafia of Cooks who conquered an entire island for his seafood restaurant -- and ended up mashed into a jar by a girl with a mustache.
The Mafia Boss rules Mafia Town with the confidence of a man who has never once questioned whether running a criminal seafood empire makes him the good guy. He sits in his throne room atop Mafia HQ, built on the giant geyser in the center of town, and treats Hat Kid's arrival as a minor inconvenience to be settled 'in true Mafia style' -- meaning a theatrical boss fight on a stage. His fight is a 2D side-scroller battle where he spins cleavers, drops sandbags, performs increasingly dramatic charge attacks (Super Charge, Ultra Charge, Mega Charge), and eventually rides atop a ball made of his own Mafia Goons. He approaches combat like a cooking show -- everything must be dramatic and well-presented. After his defeat, Mustache Girl literally mashes him into a jar. He reappears on Hat Kid's spaceship as sentient purple goo, demanding she give him her body as a replacement. When she refuses, he settles for selling her a badge. His fall from tyrannical crime lord to jarred condiment is played entirely for comedy, and he handles it with the resigned dignity of a man who has accepted his new form.
A short, wide man with a tiny face on a large head, blue eyes, and a curly mustache identical to Mustache Girl's. Wears a large white chef's hat, a red coat over a white shirt, and blue striped trousers. Smaller than his Mafia Goons but carries himself with absolute authority. After his defeat, he exists as a jar of purple goo with floating eyeballs, a mustache, and his hat still perched on top.
