Character from A Hat In Time by Gears for Breakfast
Fox-like fire spirits who dance around bonfires in Subcon Forest, creating impassable walls of flame -- feed them paintings of people and they might let you through.
The Fire Spirits are one of Subcon Forest's most distinctive hazards. They gather in groups around bonfires and perform dances that generate impassable walls of colored fire blocking key paths through the forest. The only way to dispel these barriers is to throw paintings into their bonfires -- paintings that depict various characters from across the game, from Badge Sellers to Mafia Goons. Each group of Fire Spirits corresponds to a fire color: orange spirits in Subcon Village, blue spirits near the Subcon Well, and green spirits near the inverted dweller tower. They are obsessed with death and fire in a gleefully morbid way, treating the burning of portrait-trapped victims as a festive ritual. Their bonfire theme music is similar to Mafia Town's theme, hinting at a cut storyline where Mafia Goons being turned into paintings was a bigger focus. They also appear standing in the flames during the finale, completely immune to fire, confirming that their elemental nature is genuine rather than magical.
Anthropomorphic fox-like spirits with glowing bodies that emit colored light corresponding to their fire: orange, blue, or green. They dance in groups around bonfires with rhythmic, hypnotic movements. Their forms flicker and shimmer like living flames. Despite their dangerous nature, their dance movements are cheerful and celebratory.
