Character from A Hat In Time by Gears for Breakfast
The Conductor's owl crew who ride the Owl Express and star in his films -- they serve as actors, stagehands, suspects, and occasionally hostile enemies depending on the scene.
The Express Owls are the Conductor's loyal workforce -- they ride his train, act in his movies, and put up with his explosive temper because the alternative is unemployment in a world where Dead Bird Studio is the only game in town. They serve as the suspects in Murder on the Owl Express, the band members in The Big Parade, and hostile enemies during certain sequences. They were originally designed as scientists before Dead Bird Studio's concept shifted from a train station to a movie studio. Remnants of this origin appear in Subcon Forest portraits showing 'Science Owls.' Some Express Owls end up on Hat Kid's spaceship, manning the music room where they manage the soundtrack remix system. Their range of roles -- from peaceful NPCs to murder suspects to projectile hazards -- makes them one of the most versatile character groups in the game.
Round-bodied owls of varying sizes with large eyes and small beaks. Wear different outfits depending on their role -- some in conductor uniforms, some in cowboy hats for western films, some in formal wear. Their modern design is rounder and more cartoonish than their original scientist look. Generally appear anxious or confused, as befitting employees of the Conductor.
